Fun Father's Day Weekend

This weekend was the first weekend in forever that we haven't had to worry about cleaning our house or leaving for a showing. It was fabulous!! On Saturday we headed up to Geist Reservoir to go out on Aunt Karen and Uncle Mike's pontune boat. We stayed out on the water for about 6 hours. Cameron had a blast!!! He got to fish, swim, feed the ducks and drive the boat. He even went a little outside of his comfort zone and learned how to do a pretty decent cannonball off the front of the boat. He and Daddy spent quite a bit of the afternoon competing to see who could come up with the biggest splash. I'll let you guess who won that one. We all had such a fun relaxing day. We did learn one very important lesson on the day. If you use spray on sunscreen, make sure you rub it in very well. Stuart and I both have some very interesting sunburn patterns due to our lack of knowledge in this area. Cameron, of course, is fine because he tans so easily. I would love to have pics to show you but we were bad parents this weekend and couldn't locate the camera (oh, the joys of constantly cleaning and putting things away).
Father's Day was also very nice. It was made extra special because we finally have an answer on the custody situation. The custody evaluator recommended that Cameron should move with us to Columbus. While we'll still be transporting him halfway every other weekend for visits with him mom, we feel so blessed that he will be able to go with us. Cameron is handling everything very well and we are looking forward to being able to have him with us on a more permanent basis.
We started out the day at church and then spent the rest of the day watching/napping through the U.S. Open golf tournament on tv. Yesterday evening, the Stubbs came over and the boys played on the slip n slide while the adults grilled out. It was such a nice relaxing day. The rain held off all weekend until last night.
We are down to 4 weeks until the due date and everything is going well. This week I start going to the Dr. every week for check-ups. I am getting more and more anxious to know what this little person looks like. I just can't wait to meet him/her. I think this week, we will finally pack the hospital bag and maybe even set up a few baby things in preparation for our homecoming. I guess you can never be too prepared.
